What’s up next for HeartHealth?

The heart disease community is in mourning after the tragic death of a young man who died on January 27, 2018.

HeartHealth is a private health care company with more than 6,300 employees and 1,500 locations in 36 states and the District of Columbia.

The company’s chief executive, David W. Bailenson, died of a heart attack, but his death was quickly overshadowed by the health care provider’s fight against a California ballot initiative that would have made California the first state in the country to impose the mandatory testing of patients for heart disease.

Heart Health and its sister company, Sanofi, have a combined annual revenue of more than $8.7 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

The company has been in the news a lot over the past year because of the controversial California law, which is designed to ensure that patients with certain health conditions receive health insurance coverage.

The California initiative, known as SB 1262, was blocked by courts and Governor Jerry Brown in 2017.
